Congratulations to Enisa Selimagic and Colleena Peng who were both recently named recipients of the R. Gene Richter Scholarship! The award is given out each year to students from around the country who are pursuing a career in supply chain management. Applicants for the scholarship are selected based on their academic achievements, leadership abilities, ethical standards, and their commitment to pursuing a career in the field of supply management. Chosen students will also receive mentorship from a recent Richter Scholar college graduate and from a company executive in addition to a scholarship.
Colleena is a junior studying supply chain management with a cumulative GPA of 3.87. Her executive mentor is William Dempsey, chief procurement officer at Molson Coors Brewing Company and her junior mentor is Kevin Cronin. Enisa is also a junior majoring in supply chain management with a cumulative GPA of 3.62. Her executive mentor is Thomas Nash, C.P.M., corporate vice president and chief supply chain officer, American Red Cross and her junior mentor is Emily Socha. Colleena and Enisa will also attend the Institute for Supply Management 2017 Annual Conference in Orlando, FL on May 21-24. Enisa and Colleena are the 22nd and 23rd recipients of the scholarship from Michigan State University.
